Subject: Haskins Society Conference Call for Papers

Dear Colleagues,

The Twenty-Ninth International Conference of the Charles Homer Haskins
Society will be held this November 5-7 at Boston College. This year
represents my last year as Program Director for the conference, and I would
like to see as many old friends as possible, and I thus encourage
submissions from you, your graduate students (if you have them), and your
colleagues. I am attaching (abnd cut-and pasting below) the Call for Papers
to this message, which I hope you can share with interested parties or
relevant Medieval Studies email lists or blogs.

The Society welcomes all paper proposals in fields and periods of
medieval history to which Charles Homer Haskins contributed, including but
not limited to: Anglo-Saxon, Viking, Norman, and Angevin history as well as
early and high medieval cultural history. Proposals for complete sessions
(three papers) and for individual papers will all be considered.
Please send a one-page abstract and c.v. to the Program Director,
John Cotts, by email (cottsjd@whitman.edu) or snail mail (Whitman College,
Department of History, Maxey Hall, Walla Walla, WA 99362-2083). The
deadline for receipt of proposals is June 1, 2010. For general questions
about the conference, please contact the Conference Director, Robin Fleming,
at robin.fleming@bc.edu.

This year, the featured speakers will be Paul Fouracre (Uuniversity of
Manchester), Herbert Kessler (Johns Hopkins), and Veronique Gazeau
(Universite de Caen Basse-Normandie).

Sincerely,

John Cotts
Vice President for North America and
Conference Program Director
