ABSTRACT

After about a century and a half from the nineteenth critical edition by Henri de
Curzon, this book collects over 500 pages in a new critical edition of
Templars Law Corpus: Rule, Statutes (Retraits), customs etc..
Based on
the collation of all Romance manuscripts - including some ones not
known by Curzon - the book presents a critical reconstruction of the
text conducted according to rigorous philological criteria, with an
extensive apparatus of variants, which give the possibility to valuate
step by step the editorial choices. Face of the French text there is an
accurate Italian translation accompanied by historical commentary
footnotes.
