The Coordinator of Acquisitions is responsible for the management of
system wide acquisitions data and ordering workflows and systems.
Performs a strategic planning role within Technical Services Department
(TSD) and a management role with staff, processes, evaluation and
quality control in New Books and Ordering units of TSD. Demonstrates
initiative that supports strategic plans. Supervises, trains, develops
and evaluates staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
This position requires four years experience in a complex production
environment, at least three years experience in a supervisory role and
a Bachelor's degree. Ability to communicate and plan effectively.
Strong technical background and ability with advanced knowledge of MS
office applications, experience with SAP and ILS systems preferred.
Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Candidate with an ALA accredited MLS
preferred.
