Nowadays, it is vital that any approach to Contemporary History contemplates life histories and similar biographical sources. In this context, Oral History emerges as a privileged methodology of collecting ‘living’ memories through recorded interviews, especially in audio format. Essential to the understanding of our recent past, Oral History is the story of the unique life experiences of each individual, and it allows us to draw a richer and deeper picture of the past, exploring aspects of historical reality that normally are not documented. It is History lived and told in the first person. A Living History.
